About
BookHero is a mobile digital solution that was designed to help small, independent bookstores who have been affected by COVID-19 and help them thrive post-pandemic.
This app was awarded as the winner of BrainStation x EY's 3D Hackathon in 2020!
Design Challenge
Covid-19 has expedited the need for new tools and processes that enable digital transformation across businesses large and small. As digital forward teams, we have a chance to reset and reimagine consumer relationships and the way businesses define and create success. This moment in time will be used to provide a digital solution that will empower small to medium businesses (SMBs) to succeed in a post Covid-19 landscape.
User Persona
This is James.
James is a 22-year-old art student living in Toronto, Ontario. As an avid book-lover, he is always looking for new books to read to get him inspired and keep his creativity flowing. However, with the recent COVID-19 situation, he hasn't been able to get outside and find new books, so his reading list is getting thin. He's tried to search online for book recommendations, but he hasn't been able to find a platform that feels right for him. Reading book reviews online doesn't allow him to connect with a book (and other book-lovers) in the same way, but he wants to give it a chance given he finds the right platform to do so.
